This past July I had the pleasure of designing a gorgeous wedding for the sweetest couple. Amanda and Joe were all set to get hitched in my hometown of Manistee, MI and found me through instagram (it really works) because I had tagged a previous wedding up there! Manistee is a cute little vacation town right on Lake Michigan, known for it's charter fishing, National Forest, and mostly (unfortunately) the casino. Joe's family owns a beautiful historic brick home in town that his great-great Grandfather built in the 1880s. Amanda and Joe started there relationship there 8 years ago and knew it was the right place to agree on forever as well. Amanda told me about their story and of her vision for her wedding day: white, burgundy, and blush with lots of greens and brass. I was in heaven! I told her that with all the beautiful weddings I'm so honored to be a part of, I've found myself creating wedding designs (color palettes, floral choices) for my own fake wedding, and her choices were my most recent favorite. There was a lot more gushing and oh-my-goshing and all this very professional banter that I'm so good at before quickly deciding that I was going to *basically* do for her what I would have done for myself; and after a few quick emails and phone calls, our collective dream wedding was in the books. The storying telling is very strong here and the images from getting ready through reception all have cohesion which is very hard to nail, lovely job!
